I am so grateful for the journey that led me to start a Christian business in my hometown of
Saratoga Springs, NY. Like most journeys, it wasn't a straight path but one that led me back to
Jesus.
Although I grew up going to church and Catholic school as well as sending my children to
Catholic school, I had drifted away from my faith as an adult. The (hypocritical) truth is, I would
still pray to Jesus when worried about my kids or to keep them safe, but I wasn’t sure what I
believed in and I most definitely didn’t have a relationship with God. As my children grew up
and left home, as many moms do, I found myself feeling lost, questioning my purpose and
searching for fulfillment.
Charleston will always be in my heart but I knew where I needed to be. Home. Saratoga
Springs. Today, Jesus is the foundation of my life and the heart behind this business. My hope
is that through this work, I can share his love, forgiveness and grace, encourage others in their
faith journey and be a light in the community where I grew up. I know that boldly professing
your faith isn’t quite as popular up here as it may be down south, but maybe, just maybe, it’s
time that it is.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways
submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.
”
-Proverbs 3:5-6
Everything changed when I moved to Charleston (little did I know it is nicknamed the holy city)
SC, a lifelong dream of mine. There, a friend invited me to a Bible-based, Jesus-centered
church that transformed my life. Through worship, Bible study, and a growing relationship with
Christ, I experienced a faith I had never known. It was personal, real and life changing. For the
first time I understood the profound difference between being religious and having a relationship
with God.
Looking back, I see that the dream of Charleston was a thread connecting me to Jesus. It was
part of his plan to draw me back to him. He was guiding me all along. Even in my doubt and
when I turned my back on him. He was still holding on. He was still there for me and trying to
have a relationship with me. I didn’t deserve it, but he never gave up on me. The seasons of
uncertainty became the very things God used to deepen my faith and reveal his purpose for my
life.
